Challenge: Airfoil’s challenge has centered on creating a communications program to highlight the breadth and depth of CareTech’s health care-specific expertise. In addition, Airfoil’s charge has been to seed health care-specificity as a competitive differentiator in helping C-level decision makers (hospital CEOs and CIOs) implement strategic IT and Web solutions that promote better decision making, leading to improved patient care and productivity.
Solution: Airfoil aggressively pursued and secured opportunities for CareTech’s leaders and subject matter experts to highlight CareTech’s hospital-specific information technology expertise and insight among local and health care media. Specifically, Airfoil successfully injected CareTech’s industry perspective, which centers on helping hospitals manage productivity and patient-care goals through technology, into the national focus on health care IT as a critical driver of health care reform.
In addition, Airfoil sought opportunities for CareTech leadership to showcase its collective knowledge and unique industry perspective via local, regional and national speaking opportunities at key industry conferences, including the Health care Information Management & Systems Society (HIMSS) Annual Conference and Exhibition, and the Society for Health care Strategy and Market Development’s (SHSMD) Annual Conference.
